Open Stage dances for Tapathon
Dancers from Open Stage took part in a national Tapathon on Sunday (18th November) to raise money for Children In Need and try to break a world record.
Dancers aged up to seventy plus came together at Open Stage to perform a special tap routine at the same time as hundreds of other groups across the country. They were also joined at Open Stage by students from Vinnies Dance & Theatre School.
The national Tapathon event is organised by the Performers Project annually and aims to break the record of 7,000 tap dancers across multiple venues. Over the past month dancers from across the country have all been learning the same routine to Get Stupid by former JLS band member Aston Merrygold.
Together the two schools have raised more than £350 for Children in Need 2018 and the groups are now waiting to hear whether the event broke the world record!
